Cargo’s are the ‘it’ item of the moment. Whether that be in the form of trousers, skirts or dresses, you can catch everyone from Rihanna to Bella Hadid jumping on this latest streetwear trend.
Thanks to the 90’s, cargo’s went from being the uniform of frontline soldiers, to a wardrobe staple. Infiltrated through the Hip-Hop scene by the likes of TLC, Destiny’s Child – I’m a survivor will live rent free in my mind forever – and Gwen Stefani.
With streetwear continuing to trickle into luxury fashion houses, it’s no surprise that Cargo’s were a key theme throughout the runways of New York, Paris, London and Milan, including designers such as Tom Ford, Dion Lee, Blumarine and Burberry.
But it’s the support of our ‘it’ girls that have snowballed the trend, from Bella rocking London’s 192 Local cargo parachute pants, to Hailey in high-end label the Kript, it’s for sure that cargo’s are here to stay.
