Brøgger Unveil SS22 Collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Brøgger has unveiled their fierce Spring/Summer 2022 collection showcased live from Copenhagen Fashion Week.
For this season’s collection, Designer Julie Brøgger’s mother’s successful career in the 1970s – amidst a highly male-dominated landscape – laid the foundation to depict the many ways in which womanhood was understood and expressed throughout the decade.
“Only photographs – and some treasured vintage copies of Good Housekeeping! – have allowed us to step back into the world my mum forged such a powerful professional life in,” the founder-of-the-label explains. Thus, by contrasting portrayals of feminity (whether that’s a caregiver and/or career woman) or an activist to an over-sexualised, on-screen female lead, these aspects have all contributed as a narrative anchor for the assemble.
Continuing to draw inspiration from the imagined place, Brøgger pursues to dance on the balancing act between strong, masculine shapes and light, feminine silhouettes; mixing sharp power suits with day-to-day dresses, rendering it as new. The collection also boasts true formalwear – heavily featured throughout the seasonal collection for the first time – including the likes of tailored skirts featuring daring slits, blazers and deeper necklines.
A woman should base her wardrobe on well-crafted staples, and this 24-look collection is a testament to the statement, in true Brøgger style.
