Han Kjøbenhavn returned with its first runway show in two years for Copenhagen Fashion Week, showcasing their Spring/Summer 2022 Women’s collection. As a brand renowned for presenting both Menswear and Womenswear collections in its calendar of international shows, Kjøbenhavn has now decided to solely focus on womenswear with its own show.
A display of voluminous silhouettes, straight lines, and contrasts in metal and hand braiding make up this collection, along with black, grey and silver dominating the colour palette. Plissé and sequences are consistent fabrics throughout accompanied by tailored suiting made from hand-braided leather.
The show entitled ‘Staying On The Moon’, is an artistic expression of the collection’s seasonal concept. It pays homage to the imperfect and the unknown, reflecting on a person’s true journey which lies in being sincere to themselves even when they feel distant or misunderstood. Han Kjøbenhavn’s Creative Director, Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen speaks on the concept: – “I have always loved the imperfect and the unknown. I believe it’s important that one should be allowed to be yourself”.
