Gucci’s latest ArtWalls celebrate the House’s famous Jackie Bag. Dubbed ‘The Jackie’, the Gucci accessory was a model first created in 1961 and was quickly made famous by former First Lady Jackie Kennedy.
A became emblematic of the ’60s and ’70s jet-set lifestyle, the Jackie has been redesigned several times over the years. Reimagined by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, the Jackie 1961 was last previewed during House’s women’s and men’s Autumn/Winter 2020 fashion shows. Reinterpreted once more, the bag emerged to include traditional accessories classifications with its non-binary attitude.
The images appear now painted on the Gucci ArtWalls of the following locations: Lafayette Street, Milan’s Largo la Foppa, London’s Brick Lane; Shanghai’s Fengsheng Li, and Hong Kong’s D’Aguilar Street, in Lan Kwai Fong.
