BYREDO have launched a new scent, titled ‘Mixed Emotions‘.
What they say: Drawing on the Byredo philosophy of translating fragmented memories and abstract ideas into scent, Mixed Emotions presents an olfactive sketch of our current, collective state of mind.
We’re in the business of bottling up emotions. I hope that people read the label and identify with that sentiment in its simplest form, and then find something deeper to relate to: the juxtaposition between the familiar and the unfamiliar.Ben Gorham, Byredo
What does it smell like?
Top: Mate, Blackcurrant
Heart: Ceylon Black Tea, Violet Leaves
Base: Birch Woods, Papyrus
PAUSE Her Verdict: A lasting scent, like all BYREDO fragrance, and well worth the investment. A must have for Summer nights.
Marking the new release, Ben Gorham (of BYREDO) collaborated with director Fenn O’Meally to create a short film featuring poet and activist Kai Isaiah Jamal, as well as musician Alewya Demisse and dancer Deneille Percival.
