It is starting to become increasingly hard to avoid reading about Corona Virus, AKA COVID-19. It is simply everywhere! And quite frankly, we need to do our best to protect ourselves, and our loved ones, against this wide spread outbreak.
Key ways to strengthen your immune system
Reducing your stress can lower your risk for illness and improve the immune system’s ability to fight off infections. Reduce your stress levels through exercise, meditation and deep breathing. Massage and other holistic treatments also can help.
Get Some Sleep!
Get plenty of rest. When you don’t get enough sleep or the sleep you do get is of poor quality, your immune system is weakened. Try to go to bed around the same time, implementing a good night time routine. Try lavender pillow spray to create a relaxing ambiance; trust me, it works!
A healthy diet is one of your best defenses against illness. Avoid snack foods and sugary drinks. Eat more fruit and vegetables, lean meats (or vegetarian subs), and drink plenty of water. Swap out caffeine based drinks, and try herbal teas.
Sometimes our bodies need an added boost, even when you have a healthy diet. Good supplements include echinacea, goldenseal, ginger, zinc and vitamin C.
Be sure to stay clean, and keep washing hands regularly. I would even recommend using anti bac wipes on your mobile phone, as you carry it everywhere.
