Burberry has unveiled its new 857 sq mt flagship store on No.1 Sloane Street, London. Designed in collaboration with renowned architect Vincenzo De Cotiis, the store juxtaposes brutalist elements with luxurious materials to create a distinctly modern feel. Burberry’s signature check pattern is reinterpreted in the gridded ceiling’s mirrored zones, creating a sense of openness as it reflects the roaming tiled chequerboard floors.
Accessories are housed in glass cabinets and high-gloss shelving all throughout the ground floor. An intricate monochromatic tiled staircase leads up to the first floor, which is dedicated to womenswear. A custom-made architectural island wonderfully displays the womenswear shoes. The second floor, dedicated to menswear, uses white terrazzo throughout to build on the feeling of openness.
