Celebrating the legacy of the company’s founder Rudolf Dassler, German footwear powerhouse Puma recently unveiled their ‘Rudolf Dassler Legacy Collection’ which reimagines the brand’s most iconic styles for the contemporary dresser.
Pulling inspiration from archive styles from the track, the court, and the streets, the collection spans an expansive range of silhouettes through the decades including the Fast Rider, Sky Lo and Mid, Capri, Mirage, Ralph Sampson Lo and Mid, Oslo City, and Roma ’68. Speaking on the release, Helmut Fischer, PUMA’s Archivist commented;
“Rudolf Dassler wanted the athletes wearing his products to have the abilities of a puma. This means that when they wear PUMA shoes, they would become as fast, smooth, and agile as a puma. He tried to blend these characteristics with PUMA shoes, leading athletes to victory.”
