Jetting off abroad many have been put on hold for many of us, but you can still explore the endless possibilities through the eyes of Dior. Paying tribute to Monsieur Dior’s love of travel, the French fashion house has unveiled the Dior Around The World capsule for Fall 2020.
Led by artistic director Maria Grazia, the Travel Around The World collection can be seen through a detailed selection of creations and ideas by the Roman artist Pietro Ruffo, who is the mind behind the costumes of last year’s Tiepolo Ball in Venice, as well as the visuals of Dior’s Fall/Winter 2017 Haute Couture show.
Reinterpreting Dior’s Lucky Star as a map of the world, Ruffo has designed the collection with the five-pointed star taking centre stage. Splashed with a signature camouflage motif and illustrations, Ruffo designs connect earth and sky, continents and constellations, flora and fauna.
The mesmerising print is featured over a selection of apparel and accessories, including the Book Tote, Saddle bag, and D-Connect sneakers, along with a striped marinière top, oversized hooded anorak, graphic t-shirt, midi-length shorts, and silk carré.
